Middle school registration for all students new to Austin Independent School District and current Austin ISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer. Registration is Wednesday, August 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
High school students who are new to the Austin Independent School District and current AISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer may register at their new schools on Tuesday, August 8 and Wednesday, August 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Regularly enrolled students will receive a class schedule and report for a full day of classes.

AISD Library Media Services's "Buford the Book Bus" will be visit Sunset Valley Elementary School from 9:30–11:30 a.m on June 26.
The Book Bus Team will celebrate the hard work of students in the English Language Learners summer school program offered by the AISD Multilingual Education Team.
Students are encouraged to continue to read after summer school to stop the "Summer Slide."
Sunset Valley Elementary School is located at 3000 Jones Road.
The ACE Summer Camps will be hosting a free summer showcase from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reagan High School cafeteria.
This schowcase, which is open to the public, features student activities and performances that highlight programs offered to students of ACE during the summer.

The Austin ISD Board of Trustees adopted a $1.3 billion budget, which supports 130 schools and approximately 83,000 students, at its June 19 meeting. The budget includes funding to maintain current services and modest investment for academic reinvention projects, and a 1.5 percent districtwide pay raise.
Academic reinvention projects aimed at bringing innovative programs to students are funded through an additional $750,000 allocation in the budget. Projects to be funded include Montessori programming, early college high school expansions and a dyslexia school.
