Austin ISD Budget Community Conversations

Austin ISD hosts a series of community conversations in April on its 2017–18 preliminary budget.

The first meeting is 1–2 p.m. April 26 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center, 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd.

April 27 will offer a pair of opportunities: 1–2 p.m. at the Baker Center cafeteria, 3908 Avenue B; and 6–7:30 p.m. at the Carruth Administration Center, Board Rood, 1111 W. Sixth St.

The evening meeting will be televised on AISD.TV and livestreamed on austinisd.org.

Refreshments and interpretation services will be provided at all meetings.

District Hosts Online Student Registration Event at Lanier High School

Austin ISD invites students and their families to an online registration event April 14.

Join Austin ISD staff 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at Lanier High School for this all-day Registration Extravaganza.

Register students for the 2017–18 school year, get help navigating the Parent Cloud or learn how to set up a new account.

Staff and computers will be available to assist families with registration and Parent Cloud accounts.

No Team, No Problem: AISD Golf Standout Drives Through Playoffs

Golf is a solitary game by design—one player against the golf course. 

Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders freshman standout Kerrisa Limon has been playing the game since she was 6 years old, and right now, she is on a team of one. 

But while she's the only Ann Richards student competing in the playoffs, she does have some Austin ISD company.

"Practicing with the Austin High team has been very helpful," Kerrisa said. "I’ve made lots of friends on the team, so I won’t be alone out there."
