Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Where
1607 Pennsylvania Ave, Austin, TX 78702

All Hornet families—past, present and future—and community members are invited to attend the grand (Re)Opening of Kealing Middle School to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Kealing originally opened in fall 1930, but was later closed in 1971 as a part of desegregation efforts.

In fall 1986, the campus became a junior high school for students in the Kealing neighborhood as well as those accepted into the magnet program. The school has now been open 30 school years since reopening.

Join us 10 a.m.–2 p.m. April 22 at Kealing for games, tours, music and lunch as we mark this milestone with members of the Hornet community.

Kealing memorabilia will be on display. Old photos, uniforms, T-shirts and other keepsakes can be donated for the display. Please drop them off at the campus no later than April 18.
