Orientation for all middle school students new to AISD or new to a middle school campus will be held on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at their middle school. Bus routes will run.
For all high school students new to a campus or new to AISD, orientation will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at their high school campus. Bus routes will run.
Middle school students who are new to the Austin Independent School District and current AISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer may register at their new middle schools schools Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Allison Elementary School invites the community to learn about science, technology, engineering and math programs at its STEMulate Your Mind family event this Friday.
What: As part of Allison's focus on its STEM signature program, Allison Elementary School's staff members and community partners have planned this event to showcase the science and mathematics curriculum for schools in a fun atmosphere.
The Eastside Memorial Vertical Team has been selected to be the next group of schools to join the Creative Learning Initiative. They will join the CLI in the 2015–16 school year.
A committee of parents, teachers and administrators participating in the CLI evaluated four vertical team applications and chose the Eastside team because they expressed a desire to improve the access and equity to arts-rich experiences for all students.
