Beginning Jan. 21 through Feb. 16, all AISD employees who are eligible for health care benefits can take a free, and 100% confidential Health Risk Assessment. The assessment will provide you with insight on your current health and can help you identify potential health risks. All personal health information is confidential and protected.

AUSTIN, Texas—This week, students in Travis High School’s culinary arts program will host a Peace through Pie celebration to build relationships and encourage unity amid diversity throughout the Austin community.
In memory of our beloved teacher, Mr. Gene Brandon, there will be a memorial service at Travis Heights Elementary, 2010 Alameda Dr., in the gym this Friday, January 17th at 8:15 a.m. This will be in place of normal Friday assembly and classes will begin at 7:45 a.m.
Austin ISD is celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this month with a special staff celebration today and a parade on Monday, Jan. 20.
Staff members in the district’s central offices held a celebration in the Board Auditorium today to honor King and his legacy as a champion for civil rights and education for all.
What: Kindergarten Round-up is being offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at all elementary schools in the Austin Independent School District. Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2014, are eligible to be enrolled in AISD.
At Kindergarten Round-up, parents will receive information about the Austin School District’s full-day kindergarten program, including curriculum, daily schedules, attendance requirements, the school year calendar, how to help a child prepare for school and information specific to the individual campus.
