This conference for students and parents focuses on tackling academics and much more during this school year. The event will include break-out sessions on:
- picking the right classes
- finding help when you need it
- managing time, stress and peer pressure
- developing your graduation plan
- what you need to know about STAAR
- the importance of community service.
The conference will also feature a presentation by Alex Sanchez, co-host of local radio program "Educa Austin."

Becker Elementary School Earns $25,000 Give with Target Grant; Funds Bring New Technology to Every Classroom
Austin, TX—The Austin Independent School District’s Becker Elementary School has earned a $25,000 grant from Target as part of its Give with Target initiative. Becker Elementary is the only school in Central Texas to receive one of the national grants.
