In addition to supporting student and staff technology needs, the Austin ISD Technology Department also ensures compliance with district policies and state and federal laws and regulations regarding technology in education. The district has policies and regulations in place for safe and ethical use of technology resources such as board policy CQ, the district’s acceptable use policy and AISD's internet safety plan. All users must comply with these policies, along with others such as FERPA, in order to use the district’s technology resources. Students and staff are required to sign the acceptable use policy yearly for this purpose.
