Maps of Student Residential Mobility, 2010–2011
The maps are part of a larger project developed to understand students’ mobility. They represent specific areas within Austin Independent School District (AISD) that have high and low levels of student residential mobility, and are used as a visual tool for understanding which areas are most affected by residential mobility.
Maps of selected items from the 2010-2011 AISD Student Substance Use and Safety Survey: Student tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana use by ZIP code and campus of enrollment
The maps show substance use survey responses in the neighborhood and campus contexts. This visual representation reveals moderate concentration of alcohol use in high schools as well as marijuana use on the middle school level.
Maps of Student Campus Mobility, 2010-2011
These maps were designed in order to understand students’ mobility. They represent areas and campuses within the district that have varying levels of student campus mobility, and are used as a visual tool for understanding student mobility patterns.
Focus on Hispanic Seniors: 2011 High School Exit Survey and Postsecondary Enrollment
This report uses the High School Exit Survey as a vehicle to explore explanations for the consistent postsecondary enrollment gap between Hispanic seniors and students of other races/ethnicities.
Mentoring Practice and Novice Teacher Outcomes
This project combines qualitative and quantitative data to provide a comprehensive examination of mentoring practice in an attempt to understand the ways in which mentoring leads to positive outcomes for beginning teachers and their students.
AISD REACH Program Summary: 2007-2008 through 2010-2011
AISD REACH supports educators with mentoring and professional development opportunities, and rewards teaching in high needs schools, achieving student learning objectives, and schoolwide growth. This report highlights program successes since 2007-08.
Performance of AISD Students with Disabilities on NAEP Reading and Mathematics, 2011
This report analyzes how students with disabilities (SDs) performed on 2011 NAEP reading and mathematics compared (a) with their peers in similar TUDA districts, (b) over time, and (c) with AISD non-SD students.
AISD REACH Program Update, 2010-2011: Participant Feedback
