Media Advisory: AISD’s 2014-15 Preliminary Budget
AUSTIN, Texas—In preparation for Austin ISD’s community budget meetings in April, the district is launching the first session of its Lunch and Learn series for the media with an introduction to AISD’s budget and the district’s annual process and timeline, including the recent publication of the preliminary budget and scheduled board action for the 2014-15 school year’s budget.
Additional Student Holiday/PD Day
As part of being a District of Innovation, vertical teams are allowed to schedule additional professional development days for staff, thus creating extra holidays for students. AISD Approves Distinguished Level of Achievement as Default Graduation Plan
AUSTIN, Texas--Monday, Austin ISD's Board of Trustees established the Distinguished Level of Achievement graduation plan as the district's default graduation plan beginning with the Class of 2018.The trustees also approved the requirement of one credit of physical education and one half credit of health to meet graduation requirements for all plans beginning with the Class of 2018.
