Special Board Meeting
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the board auditorium at the CAC. The topic is the district's proposed Facility Master Plan, and a vote to consider adoption is possible.The recommended FMP is available online at austinisd.org/fmp.
Can Parents Have Students Opt Out of STAAR?
No. Parents may not have students opt out of any testing. While AISD and others might be empathetic to some of their feelings, by law there is no "opt out" for students. Please see the applicable law from the Texas Education Code pertaining to statewide accountability testing for your review and consideration:
