Coats for Kids 2018
Austin ISD has partnered with The Junior League of Austin to provide free shuttle transportation for Coats for Kids 2018. This year's event is 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. Buses begin picking up families at 7 a.m. and return every hour, beginning at 9 a.m. The last bus will leave the Palmer Events Center at 3:30 p.m.

Austin ISD visual arts faculty is holding its annual art show, themed “Rhythm of Our City,” April 15 through May 6.What: The exhibition will show more than 20 new artworks including paintings, drawings, mixed media and photography created by the talented teachers of AISD. Austin ISD Hosts Speaker and Storyteller Roberto Rivera
On Oct. 29, three AISD schools will host motivational speaker and storyteller Roberto Rivera. The event is part of AISD's participation in the My Brother's Keeper Initiative and the district's pledge to the president of the United States and the Council of the Great City Schools.
