When Students Become Teachers: Austin ISD Future Educators to Compete at State
Future educators from three Austin ISD high schools are headed to state competition.Students in the Akins High School and Lanier and Travis early college high schools will compete in the 34th Annual Teach Tomorrow Summit and State Competition.The competition is Feb. 15–17 at the La Torretta Resort and Conference Center and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Live Fire Skill Day
What: The LBJ Fire Academy senior students will conduct a live fire skill day where they will engage and extinguish a car fire, a dumpster fire, and a structure fire. During the structure fire students will perform ventilation, forcible entry, search, and extinguishment tasks. The students will operate in teams and rotate between the various fires and roles. Anticipate 5 rotations.
Over 1 Millions Caregiver Meals Distributed Through AISD Program
Austin ISD and the Austin Ed Fund, AISD's nonprofit public education foundation, reached a milestone in January worth celebrating: providing 1 million meals for caregivers since the program began in May.
