Superintendent Meria Carstarphen thanked St. David’s Foundation and AISD partners for their investment in the district's Social Emotional Learning program and initiative. In her Power of Us blog, the superintendent wrote:
Northeast Elementary School to Receive $25 Million Investment
Norman Elementary School is among the first of 17 campuses throughout the district where construction will begin as part of the 2017 bond.Projects within the bond will support the district’s vision to reinvent public education by creating 21st-century learning spaces that include bright, collaborative spaces, state-of-the-art technology, outdoor classrooms and community spaces.
Central Texas Food Bank Meals Available During Spring Break
Students in need of healthy meals during Spring Break will still have access to food services while Austin ISD is closed March 12–16. The Central Texas Food Bank will provide services at various locations throughout the region and is available for families in need. Download a list of Central Texas Food Back service locations.
