AISD Students Exceed Statewide Passing Rates on STAAR End-of‐Course Results
AUSTIN, Texas—AISD students met or exceeded the state average passing rates in all five of the STAAR end-of-course assessments administered to high school students in spring 2014, according to the preliminary statewide results released this week by the Texas Education Agency.

AISD Provides Nexus Tablets to Teachers and Nonprofits Through Grant Project with Google

AISD Names Sharon Roy the 2014 Middle School Teacher of the Year
Sharon Roy, a teacher at Kealing Middle School for 20 years, has taught magnet English, software design, Leadership 101 and pre-AP English. Roy earned her secondary teaching certificate in English and math at the University of Texas in Austin. She also holds a master’s degree in English from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in English, minoring in math, from UT-Austin.
U.S. News and World Report Ranks 5 AISD High Schools Among Best in Nation
AUSTIN, Texas-Five Austin Independent School District high schools are among the best in the nation, according to the 2014 U.S. News and World Report. The district's Liberal Arts Science Academy and Anderson, Austin, Bowie and McCallum high schools earned a spot on the publication's list of "Best High Schools."
