View 2026 Summer Meal Sites Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive—even when school is out. Thanks to federally funded Texas Department of Agriculture meal programs, we provide free breakfast and lunch for students at many schools throughout the summer.
AISD Meal Sites Closed for Labor Day
All Austin ISD meal sites will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 7. To provide food for the three day weekend, children and their caregivers will receive two meal packs on Thursday, Sept. 3, and three meal packs on Friday, Sept. 4. Thank a Librarian for National Libraries Week
This week, Austin ISD would like to recognize National Library Week, which promotes the use of libraries, and acknowledge librarians for their service to local communities. Palm and Blazier Elementary Schools to Hold Classes Today
Blazier and Palm elementary schools will resume classes today following severe weather that dumped up to 10 inches of rain in some parts of Austin and caused flooding and power outages.Families of students who attend the campuses were informed by their principals this morning that power to the schools had been restored and regular school hours would resume today.
