Blazier and Palm elementary schools will resume classes today following severe weather that dumped up to 10 inches of rain in some parts of Austin and caused flooding and power outages.

Families of students who attend the campuses were informed by their principals this morning that power to the schools had been restored and regular school hours would  resume today.

Additionally, families who need support with food, water or shelter due to the flooding and power outages may find resources at the Dove’s Springs Recreation Center at 5801 Ainez Drive or by calling (512) 447-5875.
