Eight Central Texas area educators have been named finalists for the 2019 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards, spotlighting them as some of the best educators in Texas. AISD Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
Austin ISD will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Friday, Nov. 27. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. The district will resume regular business hours Monday, Nov.

Austin ISD will host a series of community conversations in April on its 2017-18 budget.The first gathering is from 1–2 p.m. April 26 at the AISD Performing Arts Center.April 27 will offer a pair of opportunities: 1–2 p.m. at the Baker Center cafeteria, and 6–7:30 p.m. at the Carruth Administration Center.
