AISD Encourages Families to Review Schools’ List of Supplies Before the Tax-Free Weekend Aug. 9-11
AUSTIN, TX—As families prepare to take advantage of next week’s tax-free weekend, AISD encourages parents to review the district’s list of supplies by schools and grade levels. The school supplies list is different for every campus and grade level. Parents should check with their child’s school during or around orientation to get a final list.

Austin ISD Health Professions Program Could Bring More Students Opportunities in Health Careers
Austin ISD, in partnership with Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College, today announced a proposal to launch a Health Professions Program. The program would prepare students for a career in health professions, and would accept applications from students districtwide. The program is dependent on the bond passing in November.
Austin ISD Board Runoff Early Voting Begins Dec. 1; Election Dec. 16

$10,000 Donation Helps Pay Off Student Lunch Debt
Austin builders have raised $10,000 to help pay off the lunch debts of Austin ISD students. This effort by the Austin Infill Coalition was spearheaded by Ed Ishmael—a local lawyer and developer who builds houses on Austin’s east side.
16 AISD Students Receive St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship
St. Davids Foundation awarded 16 Austin ISD students the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship on Wednesday, July 25. Northeast Elementary School to Receive $25 Million Investment
