Celebrating 2020-21 Volunteer of the Year
In a year unlike any other, our volunteers were on the front lines with us in every way. April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’re #AISDProud to recognize the Austin ISD 2020-21 Volunteers of the Year. We know public schools could not work without the people from the community who step up to do what’s needed, and this is our chance to salute the best of an indispensable bunch.
Facilities and Bond Planning Advisory Committee (FABPAC) Meeting
The Board of Trustees appointed the Facilities and Bond Planning Advisory Committee to evaluate capital improvement needs of the district, and to provide recommendations on long-range facilities planning, amendments to the Facility Master Plan and the scope of work and timing of future bond programs.The FABPAC will hold its second meeting from 6:15–8:15 p.m. Nov. 19 at Padron Elementary School.
CBOC Site Tour
What: Interested CBOC members will meet at the CAC and then carpool to visit the Uphaus Early Childhood Center and the Southeast Bus Terminal on Thursday, July 26th. No regular CBOC meeting will be held in July.
AISD Classified Job Fair
Austin ISD Human Resources will host a job fair for various classified positions from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 14 at the Delco Center. Positions to be filled include bus drivers, food service manager trainees, substitute food production specialists and service center positions including:

Oak Hill Elementary School Named National PTA School of Excellence
Oak Hill Elementary School has earned the National PTA School of Excellence Award, an honor given to just 11 Texas PTA’s and only 170 schools across the country. The award recognizes the school for its achievement in building a strong partnership between families and the school to improve student success.
