Austin ISD Again Leads Texas in Number of National Board Certified Teachers
For the eighth straight year, the Austin School District leads the state with more National Board Certified Teachers than any other school district in Texas. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards has announced that 42 Austin teachers have earned National Board Certification, bringing to 218 the total number of National Board Certified Teachers in AISD.
Transition Planning: Elementary through High School
Texas Parent to Parent (TXP2P) will be presenting to families from elementary through 18+ to talk about the transition planning process and transition supports. TXP2P provides support, information, and education for families of children and adults with disabilities, chronic and mental health conditions, and other health care needs. Introducing Early Bird Pre-K (En español)
Early birds get the worm, or in this case, a spot in the brand new Austin ISD Pre-K4 lottery. Why it matters: Historically, Austin ISD hasn’t opened up Pre-K until April 1 because of state regulations on free Pre-K eligibility. But this year, we’re opening tuition-based seats early so families can secure their seat for high-quality affordable Pre-K4.
