Five Austin ISD high schools are among the best in the nation, according to the 2017 U.S. News & World Report rankings.Four of the schools were among the top-ranked public high schools on the magazine's list in 2016. Austin ISD Community, Yesterday one of our Austin ISD Police officers sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound while on duty at the joint Northeast ECHS and International High School campus. We're grateful that Sergeant Val Barnes is now recovering at home. His swift response was key in keeping our campuses safe.
