Superintendent Paul Cruz Welcomes Students, Staff back for Game-Changing Year
Austin ISD Superintendent Paul Cruz will welcome students and staff to the new year while visiting 10 campuses Aug. 20 and 21. Campus visits will highlight back-to-school events and programs throughout AISD, including the campuses with new academic partnerships, work from the 2017 bond and student supports in social and emotional learning.

More Than 30 AISD Teachers Earn National Teaching Certification
The Austin Independent School District continues to have the largest number of nationally certified teachers, employing more than four times as many as any district in the state, an amount that is increasing with the recent certification and certification renewal of 32 AISD teachers.
