After receiving feedback from more than 20,000 parents, students, teachers and staff – and to offer some measure of stress relief during the pandemic – Austin ISD administration is proposing to close schools on two Fridays this spring. The Austin ISD Board of Trustees will consider this change to the official school calendar at their meeting on Thursday evening.
