Reminder: AISD Adopts Summer Efficiency Schedule for Six Weeks to Save Energy
Austin, Texas—The Austin Independent School District will adopt a summer efficiency schedule for six weeks to reduce energy costs from June 23 through Aug. 8. The district’s average savings from the summer efficiency program is about $486,000.All schools and offices will adopt a four-day week during this time. Austin ISD Will Serve Up Good Nutrition for Local Children This Summer
Bringing healthy summer meals to the Austin community ensures kids have a healthy vacation and return to school ready to learn. This summer, Austin ISD will serve anyone 18 years old and younger healthy meals at more than 50 campuses at no cost through the Summer Food Service Program. Both breakfast and lunch will be offered at all AISD summer meal sites.
