Austin Family Support Co-op Meeting Feb. 21
The Austin Family Support Cooperative will host its next meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rosedale School, 2117 W. 49th St. The Family Support Cooperative is a partnership between AISD, Austin Travis County Integral Care and the Arc of the Capital Area created to inform and support families of children with disabilities.

Austin ISD Graduation Rate Exceeds 90 Percent

Pillow Elementary School Collects More than 8,000 Books for Summer Reading
AUSTIN, Texas—Austin ISD’s Pillow Elementary School collected more than 8,000 books with the help of staff and community to be redistributed to students for summer reading.A group of teachers at Pillow set a goal to raise at least 10 books per student for the 565 students signed up for the school’s summer reading program, making their goal to raise 6,000 books.
AISD's First Literacy Summit, Featuring Dr. Richard Allington
The Austin ISD Literacy Work Group was established to develop a plan for literacy in the district. A Board-Approved AISD Strategic Priority for school year 2014–15 includes the implementation of the district literacy plan. The Literacy Work Group consists of 25 representatives from schools, district leadership and community members.
AISD Pre-K Registration Now Open
