Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow and thrive—even when school is out. Austin ISD will be closed for the winter break Wednesday, Dec. 20, through Monday, Jan. 1.All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period.Regular business hours resume Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, for staff. Austin ISD to Adjust Meal Distribution
AISD will adjust its meal distribution plan to provide meals Monday through Friday, no longer providing weekend meals, starting April 3. The adjustment was necessary after the Texas Department of Agriculture changed its policy around reimbursement of weekend meals.
