Blackshear Fine Arts Academy Receives Library Grant
Blackshear Fine Arts Academy received a $3,000 grant from bestselling author James Patterson to support its school library.In addition, Scholastic Reading Club will match each dollar of Patterson’s donation with points teachers can use to acquire books and other materials for their classrooms. Calling all poets! The second annual Vision+Voice student poetry contest is seeking your submissions.Vision+Voice is a partnership between Austin ISD and the Department of Arts and Humanities at Austin Community College.A panel of published poets will select one winning poem per grade and one for languages other than English at the elementary and secondary levels.
