Superintendent Check-In: UIL Athletics Q&As
Will students participate in Athletics activities? If yes, what will that look like and what safety protocols will be in place? The health and safety of our student athletes are our top priority. As of right now, we plan to resume athletics on September 8. This decision will need to take into account the daily monitoring of local health conditions and recommendations.

AISD Receives $4.48 Million Grant For On-Campus Mental Health Centers
The Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor has awarded Austin Independent School District a grant of almost $4.5 million. These funds will provide mental health services to elementary children and their families who are victims of crime.AISD is the first school district in Texas to receive funding from this source.
