On Monday, Austin ISD's Board of Trustees approved new principal appointments for Casey, Patton and Walnut Creek elementary schools and Burnet and Martin middle schools. Burnet Middle SchoolThe Board of Trustees approved the appointment of David Dean to lead Burnet Middle School. Dean most recently served as Burnet Middle School's interim principal.

Austin ISD Principal Selected as Texas PTA’s Elementary Principal of the Year
On Tuesday, Texas Parent Teacher Association announced the recipients for the 2021 Outstanding Educator of the Year Awards. Among 400 nominations at the elementary, secondary and district level, Reilly Elementary Principal Corrine Saenz has been selected as this year’s Elementary Principal of the Year.
