Showing kindness and encouragement and presenting your best self can inspire others to do amazing work. It was a teacher who always presented herself in the best clothes and gave Elizabeth Anne Polk one of her bracelets when she was a young girl that inspired Polk to go into teaching.
Back to School Bash
On Aug. 12, Austin ISD, in collaboration with the city of Austin, will host its annual Back to School Bash and Safety Fair from 9 a.m.–noon at the Palmer Events Center. Almost 150 community organizations and district departments will provide information and activities to prepare AISD students for a safe and successful school year.
AISD Opens First Modernized Campus from 2017 Bond
A packed gymnasium erupted in cheers as Principal Veronica Sharp, Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz, Ph.D., and more cut the red ribbon to celebrate the Modernized T.A. Brown Elementary School.
