Austin ISD moves to twice-monthly pay starting in July (en español)
Beginning in July 2023, all employees in all departments and at all campuses—full-time, part-time and substitutes—will get paid twice per month. Employees will receive their paychecks on the 15th and the last business day of each month, which is 24 paychecks per school year for everyone. New state law mandates tougher enforcement for e-cigarettes (En español)
The Austin ISD Student Success Guide (Student Code of Conduct) is now available on the Austin ISD website for students, parents, and guardians to review. What’s new? A new state law, HB 114, mandates that ALL e-cigarettes (THC and Tobacco) are prohibited at or near public schools and school events.
Underscoring the A in AISD: District Nearly Doubles Total of Exemplary Schools (en Español)
The population of Austin ISD’s A-grade schools jumped to an all-time high of 40 campuses, including six elementary schools who made the leap during a pandemic from a C-grade to earn the state’s top mark from the state’s accountability system.
