At tonight's board special meeting, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees selected Geronimo Rodriguez as the new District 6 trustee.Rodriguez, a chief advocacy officer, has lived in District 6 for 13 years and in Austin for more than 16.

Instructional Materials Adoption
As per the Education Code, “instructional materials selected for use in public schools shall be furnished without cost to students attending those schools”. Each school district is entitled to an annual allotment from the state instructional materials fund for each student enrolled in the district.
