HopeFest 2018
HopeFest, Austin's largest campus-based family resource fair, is 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Reagan Early College High School. This free event is, now in its 13th year, brings together more than 3,000 attendees with 150 exhibitors to celebrate the northeast Austin community and provide health, dental, vision, housing, employment, legal, educational, Blue Santa and other resources.

Austin ISD Closed for Winter Break
All Austin ISD office and campuses are closed Dec. 21–Jan. 1. Staff return Jan. 2 and all students except those at the Ann Richards School return Jan. 7. Jan. 3–4 are student holidays/additional professional development days for all campuses except the Ann Richards School. Students at Ann Richards return to class Jan. 3.

Students in Austin ISD continued to earn a higher overall score on the ACT exam, compared with their counterparts across the state and nation, according to ACT, Inc.
