AISD Celebrates Bus Safety and Transportation Employees
National School Bus Safety Week and AISD’s Transportation Employee Appreciation Week are Oct. 17–21.This year’s theme is “Stop on Red” to remind motorists not to pass school buses while loading and unloading students. Each year, AISD transports 22,000 students on more than 400 routes. During the 2015–16 school year, AISD buses covered more than 6.5 million miles.
