Austin ISD is resuming the process of identifying the future use of district properties that are no longer suitable for educational purposes.

The process will be guided by the following priorities:

• Assess options by their ability to benefit the community.
• Select options that will make the most efficient use of the current site configuration.
• Assure future uses are financially viable.
• Assure the process is transparent.
• Value and preserve any historical or architectural significance of the buildings.

Feedback will be used along with results of forthcoming feasibility studies to narrow down the list of potential uses for each of the sites.
