Elementary and Secondary Transition Supports
Transition planning in Texas legally starts before a student’s 14th birthday, but it is never too early to work on transition planning. Participating in career and technical education courses (CTE), completing transition assessments and participating job internships are important for student growth and understanding the workforce.

How Austin ISD is feeding the community over the summer (En español)
Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive—even when school is out.
Austin ISD is providing free breakfast and lunch for students at many schools throughout the summer through a federally funded Texas Department of Agriculture meal program.
Employee Compensation Agreement for 2024–25 (En español)
District Leadership and Education Austin have agreed on a Draft Employee Compensation Agreement for 2024–25 that would include market adjustments and a 25 cent per hour increase for classified employees. This reflects an investment of approximately $17.8M.
