Austin ISD is Hiring

Austin ISD is looking to hire qualified individuals for food service and transportation positions during a drive-thru job fair on Saturday.

Representatives from the district will be on-site to answer questions, provide guidance and support attendees through the application process. The Austin ISD food truck and school buses will be on site.

What: Job fair for food service and transportation job opportunities

When: Saturday, June 26, 9-11 a.m.

Vaccine Clinic - Mendez Middle School

We have a free COVID-19 (Pfizer) vaccine opportunity available for our AISD Community, all family members included, 12 years of age and older. This opportunity is being hosted by Travis County Mobile Vaccine Collaborative, Ascension, and Central Health. Walk-ins welcome, no appointment required.

Central Health is offering $25 H-E-B gift cards to those receiving their first dose at this vaccine clinic!

AISD to Reconnect with Dove Springs Families at Door-to-Door Campaign

Students who have stopped coming to school in the past year will have a chance to re-enroll this Saturday when AISD conducts its Operation Reconnect Action Day. Volunteers will conduct a block walk in the Dove Springs neighborhood to welcome students to AISD schools on Saturday, June 26.

Who: Austin ISD teachers, staff, and community volunteers.

What: A door-to-door campaign to reconnect with families and share information about district program offerings.

When: Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Long-range Planning Committees

The Long-range Planning Committees was an ad hoc advisory body established by the superintendent. 

The LPCs was made up of parents, community members, students, and district staff who represent different segments of the community.

The purpose of the Planning Committees was to develop long-range plans including a prioritized list of recommended capital projects and operational strategies in each of the planning categories: 

  • Academics & Career and Technical Education
  • Athletics 
  • Visual & Performing Arts
  • Facilities
  • Safety, Security & Resiliency
  • Transportation, Food Service & Maintenance
  • Technology

Comités de planificación a largo plazo

¡Bienvenidos al hogar virtual de los comités de planificación a largo plazo del Austin ISD! Los Comités de planificación a largo plazo (LPC, por sus siglas en inglés) son cuerpos consultivos ad hoc establecidos por el superintendente. 

Los LPC están compuestos por padres, miembros de la comunidad, estudiantes y personal del distrito que representan diferentes segmentos de la comunidad.

El propósito de los Comités de planificación es desarrollar planes a largo plazo incluyendo una lista priorizada de proyectos importantes y estrategias operativas recomendados en cada una de las categorías de planificación: 

  • Asuntos académicos y Educación vocacional y técnica
  • Atletismo
  • Artes visuales y escénicas
  • Instalaciones
  • Seguridad, protección y resiliencia
  • Transporte, servicio de comida y mantenimiento
  • Tecnología
