Austin ISD is now enrolling students for an innovative program designed to help students earn an associate of applied science degree in hospitality management at no cost while attending Travis Early College High School.
This program, launching in August 2021 at Travis ECHS, was created in partnership with Austin Hotel Lodging Association, Visit Austin, and Austin Community College District (ACC).
Amplify Austin is the most impactful day of giving in Central Texas, raising over $69 million since 2013 for Austin area nonprofits. Last year’s campaign helped Austin Ed Fund – Austin ISD’s education foundation – raise nearly $27,000 to #AmplifyAISD students and teachers, and they will be participating again this year!

Beginning in February, the Austin ISD Board of Trustees will meet for their regular voting meetings on Thursdays, except the month of July when the board does not meet.. This change is occurring after the board approved an update to policy BE(LOCAL) – Board Meetings, on Dec. 11.
The update includes a provision to specify that information sessions shall normally be held the second Thursday of each month, except the month of July.

The Austin ISD 2020-21 Student Climate Survey is now available for review. Please use the links below to access a survey preview. Students in grades 3-11 will begin taking the survey on Feb. 10, 2021.
Students are encouraged to participate so they can share input on the school experience. Survey results are used to improve services for our students. Participation is voluntary and all responses are confidential.
