AISD to Provide Free Meals through December

The Texas Department of Agriculture recently announced an extension of current school meal programs through Dec. 31.  This extension allows Austin ISD to continue to provide free meals for any child under 19, or those over the age of 19 who are utilizing special education resources or currently enrolled in school to complete the requirements for a high school diploma from curbside meal sites.

Austin ISD Launches Caregiver Support, Community Learning Space Webpages

Austin ISD has launched new webpages to support Community Learning Spaces and caregivers as students begin learning remotely for the first four weeks of school, beginning Sept. 8. 

Austin ISD defines a Community Learning Space as a place outside school where a legal guardian takes the student to receive in-person supervision, access to digital resources and other support.

Austin ISD Expands Wi-Fi Bus Service Times

Austin ISD will continue to use Wi-Fi-enabled buses to provide free internet access to students. Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8 until October 5, Austin ISD has expanded the times its Wi-Fi buses are available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
