Norman Elementary School is among the first of 17 campuses across the district where construction will begin as part of the 2017 bond.
Projects within the bond will support the district’s vision to reinvent public education by creating 21st century learning spaces which include bright, collaborative spaces, state-of-the-art technology, outdoor classrooms and community spaces.

Austin ISD students are scheduled to take state exams, including the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, beginning April 10 and continuing through May 18.
To reduce distractions and help students focus on their tests, the media’s access to AISD campuses will be limited during the weeks of April 9, May 7 and May 14.
In addition, the district will administer advanced placement exams, also commonly referred to as AP exams, May 7–18.

First Ceremony (South AVID Campuses): Akins High School, and Crockett and Travis Early College High Schools
12:15–1:30 p.m.
Second Ceremony (North AVID Campuses): Anderson, Austin and McCallum high schools, and Eastside, Lanier, LBJ and Reagan Early College High Schools

Williams Elementary invites neighboring communities to attend our Under the Big Top Spring Carnival from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
There will be over 30 games/activities, a Life-Save Candy-land Cake Walk, Professional Face Painting, Velcro Wall, Trackless Train "Jungle Safari", food vendors, performances, Silent Auction and MORE, MORE, MORE.
Cost is $10 per wristband for students. Adults are welcome to participate for FREE!

All Austin ISD elementary schools welcome families to their campuses today for Kindergarten Orientation Day!
All children who will be 5 years old or older on or before Sept. 1 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
At each school's orientation, families will receive information about the district's full-day kindergarten program, including:
The Austin ISD Parent Engagement Support Office, in collaboration with United Way for Greater Austin, is pleased to announce the first Celebration of the Young Child.
The goal of the event is to provide Austin families with young children with an opportunity to learn about resources and services in their community.
The event features free food, face painting, a petting zoo, access to community resources and a special visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Families can also register their children on-site for the 2018-19 school year.
Free transportation to the event is available from Dobie Pre-K, Lucy Read Pre-K, Uphaus Early Childhood Center and Webb Primary School, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Buses will return to those locations at noon.
