On Nov. 7, 2017, a majority of Austin voters—72 percent—passed Austin ISD's bond proposal for $1,050,984,000 to create 21st-century learning spaces for all students.
Since the election, the district has worked quickly to initiate the first phases of implementation for the bond program.
As part of our commitment to communicate the progress of the bond to the community, we are launching the AISD Future: 2017 Bond Newsletter to provide a high-level update on bond implementation, as well as information on how you can get involved.

LBJ Early College High School Pre-Health Career Launch is hosting Stop The Bleed, a national campaign started by the White House to address the most common cause of preventable trauma death in the United States: uncontrolled bleeding.
Twenty percent of people who have died from traumatic injuries could have survived with quick bleeding control.
The purpose of the campaign is to better prepare the public to save lives by raising awareness of basic actions to stop life threatening bleeding following everyday emergencies and man-made and natural disasters.
Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas and the American Association for Surgical Education are sponsoring this event and are providing a presentation and training to LBJ ECHS students.
LBJ ECHS students have the opportunity to earn a certificate after completion.
Austin ISD will salute it's Maestro en Casa graduates at 11 a.m. on April 14 at the AISD Performing Arts Center.
Whether they are tutoring students, helping out in the cafeteria, decorating a bulletin board or serving as field trip chaperones, volunteers make an important difference in Austin ISD schools.
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and campuses have selected volunteers in four categories who’ve made significant contributions to their campuses and their children.
