Welcome!

In 1980, the first PALS (Peer Assistance Leadership & Service) program began at Crockett High School. Today, there are more than 1000 trained PALS in Austin ISD elementary, middle and high schools.

The Austin ISD PALS program enables young people to use their potential to make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. Serving as student mentors to younger peers, PALS build tolerance and community-mindedness in their schools and communities. Learn More

Destination Eastside

Date
Thursday, May 10, 2018 - 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Where
Eastside Memorial ECHS Cafeteria, 1012 Arthur Stiles Rd.

You are cordially invited to imagine the possibilities for the new Eastside High School!

As part of the 2017 Bond, the district is hosting a celebration, “Destination Eastside,” from 6–7:30 p.m. May 10 in the Eastside Memorial Early College High School cafeteria.

Please join us to learn about the exciting opportunities that await the Eastside community at the site of the original L.C. Anderson High School campus.

Administrators from Eastside Memorial and International High School, along with architects from Perkins+Will, will share updates on design concepts for the new building, possible program offerings and the district’s vision for partnering with Austin Community College and Huston-Tillotson University.

They also will share preliminary ideas for honoring the legacy of the original L.C. Anderson High School, including plans for a community space and a museum/gallery, and for repurposing original building components throughout the new portions of the building.

Come share your ideas and be part of the modernization of this important historical space that will act as a community hub and source of academic excellence in the East Austin community for years to come!
