Trustees Approve Calendar for 2018–19 School Year / Mesa Directiva Aprueba el Calendario Para el Ciclo Escolar 2018-19

Austin ISD trustees last night approved the calendar for the 2018–19 school year.

Three options had been presented to students, staff and families for voting Nov. 20–Dec. 15.

Calendar A received the majority of the votes, with 11,388. Calendar B earned 5,262 votes, and Calendar C received 8,077 votes.

#AISDGotTalent: Trustees to Recognize Outstanding Staff Achievements

The Austin ISD Board of Trustees will recognize four outstanding educators at its regular board meeting tonight for awards received in 2017.

2017 Mel Miller Outstanding Social Studies Teacher Award

The National Social Studies Supervisors Association presented Jessica Jolliffe, administrative supervisor of social studies, with the 2017 Mel Miller Outstanding Social Studies Teacher Award at its annual conference held in San Francisco in November 2017. The award recognizes one person each year who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership expressed by the NSSSA.
