Austin ISD is hosting a series of informational open houses to learn more about the 2017 Bond and how it could affect each campus.
Meetings are 5:30–7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and are designed in a come-and-go format, with presentations at 5:45 p.m. and at 6:45 p.m.
A districtwide open house will be 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, with presentations at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

There will be a meeting of the Budget and Finance Advisory Committee from 6–7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Board Auditorium. The purpose of the Budget and Finance Committee is to provide guidance and counsel on matters of budget and finance.
As in previous years, Austin ISD is encouraging families to apply for free or reduced-price meals.
A new meal benefits application must be submitted each school year. While applications are accepted throughout the school year, to ensure benefits go uninterrupted, applications should be submitted by Oct. 2 to receive free or reduced-price meals for the 2017–18 school year.
Austin ISD's Maplewood Elementary is celebrating its 65th anniversary year with an unveiling of a new piece of public art symbolizing peace.
Please join Austin ISD for our annual Middle School Fair for fifth-grade students Dec. 2 at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders.
This year's event will feature representatives from all our middle school campuses with information about their programs.
Visitors can also enjoy entertainment from several middle school groups, and will have a chance to win door prizes.

The English Language Learner Advisory Committee advises the Board of Trustees about English Language Learners and meets the first Tuesday of each month.
Meetings are held at Sánchez Elementary School, 73 San Marcos St.
