Austin ISD middle school students will compete in a robotics competition to showcase their skills in coding, math, science and teamwork.

AISD is committed to 21st Century excellence in skills that will prepare students for our global environment and preparing students for college and career ready goals.

2016 Central Texas College Signing Day

UT-Austin hosts the 2016 Central Texas College Signing Day on April 29. Graduating seniors from every high school in AISD will proclaim their plans to pursue higher education by attending a college or a university, or receiving their professional credentials or certificates.   

Inspired by the NCAA’s National Signing Day, Central Texas is holding College Signing Day to showcase that excellence in the classroom should be given as much significance as achievement in athletics.

Update: Austin ISD schools competed, won big at 2016 Austin Business Simulation Expo

LBJ and Reagan early college high schools, Sadler Means Young Women’s and Garcia Young Men’s leadership academies competed in a business and logistics competition April 23. 

Teams of students from each school ran their school’s model company through two grocery store supply chain simulation sessions. In the simulations, students collaborated and worked through disruptive events as planners, buyers, suppliers and inventory control analysts.

The annual Celebrate event is a night dedicated to bringing together the Austin ISD community, volunteers and school leaders to recognize excellence throughout the district and honor those who give their time and commitment to make our schools a better place.
