Crockett High School Open House & Course Fair

Crockett High School welcomes students and their families to our annual course fair.

This fair is for both incoming ninth-grade students and current students. Displays in the library will allow guests to learn more about the great courses we offer.

Visitors are invited to speak to teachers and students, and can meet with a guidance counselor regarding their students' choices.

Crockett clubs and organizations will have tables in the main courtyard to discuss membership and sell spirit items.

Learn about the unique academic programs and course offerings available to students at Lanier High School.

Puppets, Jewelry and Recycled Art: Schools Collaborate to Bring MakerSpace to North Austin

Lanier High School, and the schools that feed into it, are hosting a literacy event to help inspire children to become lifelong readers.

Who: Lucy Read Pre-K School, Cook Elementary School, McBee, Padron and Wooldridge and Wooten elementary schools; Burnet Middle School and Lanier High School libraries will host MakerSpace Madness.

Apply for Pre-K Tuition Programs by Jan. 29

AISD is accepting applications for Pre-K tuition programs—including 12 dual-language programs—at 36 elementary schools. The deadline for applications to be included in the lottery is Friday, Jan. 29.

Applications are available at the campuses where the programs are offered. The district offers tuition-supported Pre-K programs at Baldwin, Blackshear, Boone, Brooke, Casis, Cowan, Davis, Galindo, Govalle, Gullet, Guerrero Thompson, Joslin, Kocurek, Maplewood, Mathews, Menchaca, Metz, Mills, Ortega, Palm, Patton, Read, Williams and Zilker elementary schools.

Anderson High School Course Fair

AISD Wants All Students Fed: Before, During and After School

Since its launch in 2009, the Afterschool Meal Program at AISD has expanded to serve about 3,500 students. In addition, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin and Capital Area Food Bank serve more than 500 additional students through their programs at AISD campuses.

Sanchez, Walnut Creek and Wooten elementary schools started after-school meal programs earlier this year, and the district will add after-school meals at Casey and Reilly elementary schools and Martin, Dobie and Paredes middle schools in February.
