Conversation Corps at Barrington ES

In November, the partnering agencies of Conversation Corps invite everyone to join an important discussion about the value of city parks.

Themes from the conversation will inform decisions and guide collaborative partnerships between Capital Metro, Austin ISD and the city of Austin.

During the month of November, the agencies want to know: What do you see as the most significant benefit as well as the most significant challenges associated with hosting special events on Austin parkland?

Classes Canceled for Palm Elementary School Students on Nov. 2

During the storms on Oct. 30, portions of 23 classrooms at Palm Elementary School were flooded with 4–5 inches of water.

Because of the damage caused by the water, Palm students will not report to school on Monday, Nov. 2.

AISD restoration crews removed the water from the building and began cleanup on Saturday. The damaged wing of the building has been sealed off, and air quality samples were being taken on Sunday.
