Middle School Choice Fair Showcases Unique Opportunities at AISD
Austin ISD invites area middle school students and their families to a choice fair to introduce them to unique opportunities available at all AISD middle schools.
Contractor and Consultant Appreciation Reception and Quarterly HUB Dialogue Meeting
In appreciation of the hard work and commitment of all our bond program partners, AISD’s Construction Management Department is hosting an appreciation reception followed by our first quarterly HUB dialogue meeting.
At the meeting, HUB and non-HUB firms are invited and encouraged to attend and learn about more opportunities to work together with the district. AISD staff will also be available to take questions and comments about the HUB program.
MEDIA ADVISORY: Texas Secretary of State Stresses Importance of Voting to Seniors at Reagan High School
The state’s chief election officer, Texas Secretary of State H. Carlos Cascos, will visit Reagan Early College High School to encourage seniors to vote.

Blackshear Elementary Invites Community to Little East Austin Studio Tour
Blackshear Elementary School Fine Arts Academy in East Austin will open its doors to students, families, former alumni and the community to ‘Little EAST’ during the East Austin Studio Tour.
The event includes the unveiling of a storytelling chair sculpture designed by a local artist.

Enjoy performances from the Scottie Singers (choral music), Lamar Dance Company, Theatre Production, Classical Guitarist, Musical Theatre and Rock-estra (orchestra). You may also view exhibits from our Digital Arts & Media, Animation and Visual Arts programs.
LBJ ECHS Showcase & Harvest Dinner
The family of schools in the LBJ Early College High School vertical team welcomes the community to the 2015 Showcase & Harvest Dinner.
Visit with students and faculty to learn more about each school's programs, extracurricular options and more.
The night will also feature student performances and a Thanksgiving dinner.

Lamar Jazz Factory Midwest Send off Concert
The Lamar Middle School Fine Arts Academy’s jazz band, better known as The Jazz Factory, has been selected as one of only five jazz programs in the nation to perform at the prestigious 69th Annual Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois on December 17.
The Lamar Jazz Factory competed against middle school, high school and college-level jazz bands from around the country to receive this invitation.
The Midwest Clinic is widely regarded as one of the best music conferences in the United States and one of the best music, band and orchestra clinics in the world. “We are so excited to showcase Lamar’s jazz program and our talented student musicians to composers, directors and other performers who come to the Midwest Clinic from around the world,” said James Hairston, Lamar Middle School’s Director of Bands.

Murchison Middle School Orchestra Spring Concert
Please join Murchison Middle School for our winter orchestra concert.
We will be playing string orchestra literature and our symphonic orchestra will perform two full orchestra pieces featuring members of the Murchison Band Wind Ensemble.
