Small Green Tech Academy One of Top 10 Eco-Schools in the Nation

The National Wildlife Federation has named an Austin ISD school with an outdoor classroom, a greenhouse and a chicken coop as one of the top 10 Eco-Schools in the nation.

The National Wildlife Federation ranked schools based on their commitment to environmental education and the school community’s work to making the facility more sustainable and wildlife-friendly.

Grandparents & Guardians Support Group

This yearlong series of meetings is tailored for grandparents, foster parents and other non-biological parents of children with special needs.

Presenters will provide information, training and emotional support for people raising a child with special needs. 

The environment is casual and comfortable, and is open to the community.

Meetings are 9–10:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Covington Middle School, 3700 Convict Hill Road.

HopeFest

HopeFest is a family resource fair serving thousands of people in the Reagan High School/northeast Austin area. Each year, over 125 exhibitors bring health, housing, employment, education, dental, prenatal, immigration and other resources to support local families in a day filled with fun, children's activities, free lunch and live music.
