The Ladies of Distinction of LBJ High School will begin a mentoring program at Garcia Middle School beginning April 7, 2014. The majority of the students at Garcia will be feeding into LBJ HS and the organization wants to start building better relationships with the students at Garcia. The program will help create connections, change lives, give girls a chance to build positive friendships, and make the transition into high school smoother. If you know of a young female student that will benefit from the LOD mentoring program, please contact Coach Kerrie Carter at kerrie.carter@austinisd.org.
With graduation around the corner, AISD's High Schools Office would like to remind parents of high school seniors about the importance of their son or daughter's application for financial aid.
Their chances of receiving the greatest amount of money are increased if the application is submitted by March 31.
